Newsletter: your email address and the date you subscribed.

Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, so we can reply.

Hub Activity and workshop forms: your answers to an activity's registration form before the event, and to its after-event feedback form (which can include a star rating), along with your name and email address where the form asks for them. Organizers use these to plan the event, follow up with you, and improve future events.

Likes on news posts: if you like a post, we store a random identifier kept in your browser, not your name or any other detail about you.

To send the newsletter you subscribed to and its welcome email; to reply to your messages; to organize activities and workshops and learn from your feedback; and to keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.

To protect the site, we use Google reCAPTCHA on the contact, newsletter and activity forms, and our host's bot protection, which may briefly verify your browser before showing a page.

When you visit, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and block attacks. We do not use this information to identify you.

We use only functional storage, not tracking or advertising cookies: your language and theme choice; a note that the welcome animation has already played; and the random identifier for likes. Our host's bot protection may set a short-lived cookie after verifying your browser. None of this is used to follow you across other websites.

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you: it records, in aggregate, which pages are viewed, the site that linked to us, and the country, device type and browser. Vercel Speed Insights likewise measures, anonymously, how quickly pages load for visitors.

We rely on a few providers to run the site, each processing data on our behalf under its own privacy and security practices: Google Firebase (database and site data); Vercel (hosting, delivery, bot protection and anonymous visit and speed statistics); Google reCAPTCHA (abuse prevention); and Resend (our emails, such as the newsletter welcome and contact-form copies).

Applying to become a Global Shaper happens entirely on the World Economic Forum's own application platform. When you click "Apply Now" you leave our site. We do not receive or store what you submit there; it is governed by the World Economic Forum's privacy practices, not this policy.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers above, to the extent needed to run the site, or when required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of Jeddah Hub or others.

Newsletter, contact and activity form data is kept for as long as it serves its purpose, or until you ask us to remove it.

Anyone can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about them, or to stop the newsletter, by contacting us using the details below. We will act on your request promptly.

The Global Shapers Community is for young people generally between 18 and 27 years old. The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

All connections to the site are encrypted, access to the information we hold is restricted and enforced by database security rules, and links and spreadsheet exports are checked for harmful content. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

Jeddah Hub is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Because our providers operate globally, your information may be processed in other countries. We choose providers that keep it appropriately protected wherever it is processed.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
